The State Procurement Bureau (SPB) leads best-in-class procurement services through integrity, education, transparency, and innovation. We strive to administer effective and responsible procurements to maximize the value of public funds for Montana.

ABOUT THE BUREAU

The SPB provides professional procurement services to all State agencies for the acquisition of supplies and services; ensures compliance with all State statutes and procurement requirements; establishes statewide term contracts for commonly used goods and services; manages the State’s fuel and procurement card programs; and offers procurement training to State agencies. The SPB provides a central location for vendors interested in bidding on State projects and maintains the State’s registration and notification list for bidders. The SPB strives for transparent, cost-effective contracts that ensure the State receives the maximum value for taxpayers’ dollars.
